Last week I was on a trip for training in the southwest when it was cut short due to the Corona Virus outbreak. Luckily it was the last week and losing two days did not prevent me from getting marked as certified and getting full credit.
I had to change my travel and rebook a few flights. I had no idea what travel in a COVID world would be like.
First off, I like to choose my seat. I really enjoy sitting by the window and watching the world go by down below. When I logged in, below is what I saw:
A near empty plane.
When I got to the airport in Phoenix, it was near empty. In a way it was much like after September 11, 2001.
These are strange times that may only get stranger. Of all the air travel I have done, this has got to be the weirdest experience. No one in a seat around you, while a dream come true for me, still doesn’t seem real. I hope Covid-19 passes fast and things get back to normal soon.
